Waiting & Ready

We are now at 38 weeks and I couldn't be more ready!! Our last appointment the doctor finally smiled while detecting the heart beat and said, "156, girl!" I suddenly went, YAHOO FINALLY!!!! For the last couple months he kept saying, "136, boy" "132, boy" and it got really discouraging. Although, you should never fully believe the sex based on the heart beat, I figure, he's been doing this forever and knows what he's talking about. Right?

While being examined by Dr. Delong, we found out that we are only a finger tip dilated. Although being better then not dilated at all, I would love some progression!!!!! So we will find out if we have progressed any at our next appointment on Wednesday (8-12-09).

Baby Liv is still sitting super high and seems to be perfectly cozy and comfortable up in my ribs. I hope that this isn't a sign that she is going to like to abuse me ALL of her life.

Less than a month to go..

So I have completely neglected my blog, that I insisted was something I would religiously keep up on. With the move up to Brainerd and not having internet for about 4 months, made it pretty hard. My apologies to you all that always came back to check but left disappointed to only to see that its the same post it has been FOREVER! Knowing that most of you have given up on me and this blog, don't lose all hope just yet, for I AM BACK!!!!!!! We now have internet, so if I wanted, I can post 10 blogs a day if that's what it takes to earn your trust back :)

For everyone that has lost count, which is EVERYONE, I am 36 wks. and 6 days. Let the count down begin.

Let me recap on some things: At our 19 wk. appointment we had an ultra sound and was told that we would be having a little girl. Between then and around being 28 wks. we picked out a name, had a baby shower where we received tons of pink girly things, started on the babies room and so on. Only to hear at appointment after appointment that the doc. thinks that it could be a boy. WHAT???? The heartbeat was always around 136 and Dr. Delong insisted that it may not be Lil' Olivia in there.

Did I freak out, OF COURSE I freaked out. What was I going to do with all this pink girly stuff that I have collected through-out the months. After time, I came to realize that if it happened to be a boy, he would just LOVE the color pink. So I calmed down and was waiting out for our 36th wk. appointment, where we would be given an ultra sound and find out for sure what was in there. I needed to know what bedding to get!! (As most of you know, I am a planner and need to have things done in advance!)

So, this past Monday was our appointment and with the saying, "Mothers' know best" it really is little Olivia in there!!!! :) What a relief!!!!!! WHEW!!!! We now have the bedroom ALL done and ready to go. There are still things we need obviously but it's a relief to have the room done.

Now I am always told that I am sooo little and no way am I due in less than a month. Well to my surprise, this baby is no little baby! The doc. predicts that she will be 8 lbs or more at time of birth. OOFTA! But on the up side of things, Dr. Delong says I will be one of those girls that doesn't look like I just had a baby after all said and done, and so....... I can handle a big baby as long as I can fit back in most of clothes in the end.

6 months!

WHOA, I have been slacking on the updating lately! We don't have legitimate internet service, only through our phones, so it's been hard to update. This wkend I am in the cities at my parents, so thankfully I can get on their computer and update :).

I am now 25 weeks/6 months along! Time is just flying by and before we all know it, little Olivia will be here. My mom and I just ordered her crib tonight, so I am excited to have it delivered and put together!!!! (above picture on the right is the crib). The color scheme we are going with is light pink and chocolate. Picture of the bedding also posted in picture on top left, although I have kind of altered it and added different sheets and such. We are all registered at Babies R Us. Her room will look so cute, can't wait to get it all put together!!!!

This past week we had our monthly check up and it wasn't too informative besides that I have gained almost 20 pounds already!!!!!!! UGH, that is kinda scary!! I instantly asked if that was normal and the nurse said, "For you, yes, it is completely normal and should expect to gain another 10 to 20." Surprisingly, some people don't even notice that I have a bun in the oven but I most certainly do!!!

I'm back & it's a GIRL!

Sorry for you followers (especially Morgan) for my absence. Since the last post, we found out we will be having a lil girl. Olivia Marie will her name (Liv for short). Jeremy is still convinced that it's a boy in there!
We had our first appt. up in Brainerd yesterday (April 9). Dr. Delong is very nice and it is so weird being in a smaller town. Everyone is so friendly, I will see the same people everytime and they already know me by name! I am not just another random patient. So we both thought that was very cool.
It is crazy that I am already 5 months along, most people still cannot tell that I am pregnant, which I am enjoying though!! I need to get on Jeremy to take some belly pics and we will post them soon. The doc said she weighs around 10 oz. now which is a little under where she should be. Most at 21 weeks along weigh around 12 oz., so she is just a little peanut which I prefer! We are not wanting no 10 pound baby here like Jeremy was. :) She can now taste, so I am sure she is going to be a junk food and mt. dew junky just like her mom!! She measures around 10.5 inches, so about the size of a banana.
I don't have any cravings yet really. Although I do love blueberry pancakes! Those are good any time of day :)

boy..... girl.....boy........girl..... ?

Happy St. Patty's day!!
Jeremy and I have been super busy moving stuff and getting ready to live up in Brainerd! It is crazy that the time is already here. My last day of work is Friday and it's all bittersweet, although, I am more on the excited side to be done! :)
The time is getting closer where we get to find out what baby is!!! March 30th is the day and the time couldn't go by fast enough!!!!!

Week 17

We had our monthly check up last night and everything is going good. Babies heartbeak is still going strong and there are no concerns to be worried about!! :) We did find out that in 3 weeks we get to find out the babies SEX!!!!!!!!!!!!! We can't wait! Jer is hoping for a boy and I am pretty equal, I will be ok with either or.

Baby is now the size of an onion!! It's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. The skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord is growing stronger and thicker. Baby can move their joints, and sweat glands are starting to develop.

If any of you still wonder, yes, I am STILL getting sick!! Not as often but its still there. Oh, wish me luck on that it doesn't last the whole pregnancy!!!

Week #15

I am now almost 4 months along and still having morning sickness.... I can say that it has gotten better and is far and few but STILL!!! C'mon now already, I am wanting to feel good again.

The baby is now starting to look like a "mini" normal human being. Legs are now longer than their arms and all four limbs have functional joints! Baby fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy, although it is still too early to feel any movement. (baby is now the size of an orange).

I can't believe that next month we already can find out what "baby" will be!!! Time is flying by.

Morning sickness has gotten worse ...

Just when I thought that morning sickness was almost over, it happened to get 10x's worse! Instead of just getting sick in the morning, it was ALL day EVERY day!! To say the least, I have been worthless lately, due to having not an ounce of energy.

We had our monthly check up last night and our doctor didn't seem slightly concerned about how sick I have been. She had said that the more sick you are, the more healthy and easy of a pregnancy you will have. Although it is supposively good that I am sick , she prescribed me some meds to help with the visits to the bathroom. Which, I am in love with!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today I am puke FREE, woohoo!! Even though it gives me a killer headache, I am satisfied. I will take a headache over puking any day!
Baby is now forming teeth and vocal cords. It is also approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy.
Last week one of my students asked me why I don't look pregnant and I had to explain that it takes time. Now today, he was all excited and goes, "Mrs. Britni, You're showing!!!" So now, it is official, baby bump has arrived for all to notice.

Baby bump is here!

Baby is now the size a prune and I officially have a little baby bump. I am starting to have more energy and get back to my normal self, while morning sickness becomes few and few, thank God!
Jeremy was up north all week-end with the boys for the fishing extravaganza in Brainerd. I guess they didn't last too long with the cold weather, so therefore no one was a "winner". I had a great day Saturday with my mom. We went out to lunch, saw a movie (Bride Wars, which I recommend) and did a ton of shopping. I had purchased the book "Skinny Bitch: Bun in the Oven". The writers are so humorous, I love it!

1st Ultra Sound

We had our first ultra sound last Thursday. I was pretty right on, guessing when the first day of my last period was. I am now 9 weeks along. The nurse said that baby has a strong heart beat of 170 beats per minute and it is also a lil kicker. Baby Robertson kept kicking it's right leg up in the air, either s/he is going to be a performer or a little soccer player :)
Jeremy had to take a seat after standing for a while looking at the screen. I hope he lasts in the delivery room, cause this is nothing so far!! I will need to remind him to breathe ;)
Our weekend consisted of a lot of laying around and resting. I had the flu for 2 days and ended up in Urgent Care getting a shot in my butt to help with the puking. It thankfully helped and I finally have my appetite back.
~The picture posted is Baby Robertson (obviously). Head is on the right.~

~ Week 8 ~

We now have a green olive!!! Our little embryo has now officially graduated to fetus-hood. Adding to the excitement, a Doppler ultrasound device might be able to pick up the beating heart. With basic physical structures in place and increasingly distinct facial features, baby is kind of starting to look like... well... a baby!

Our first pre-natal appointment went well. We didn't get the ultrasound that was expected but we do have an appointment for our first ultrasound on Wednesday! So, hopefully the heart beat will be strong and loud enough for us to hear!!

Morning sickness is still around unfortunately but thankfully. The nurse had said that if there was no morning sickness a red flag would go up and there would be need to worry. So WOOHOO, being that I am sick, baby is healthy!!!

~ 7 Weeks ~

We found out that we were pregnant about 2 weeks ago. After surprising our families on Christmas I think the idea of being pregnant and having a baby has started to settle in.

The little baby is now the size of a raspberry. This week baby R goes through a huge growth spurt where it will double in size. Babies brain is growing and developing. The heart has also divided into right and left chambers.

Mom is still feeling run down and morning sickness is still visiting daily, although it is starting to taper off thanks to Rachel!! The vitamin B6 and Unisome has seemed to help greatly.

We have our first pre-natal appointment on Thursday. They will be giving an ultra sound being that I can't exactly remember the first day of my last period all in thanks to my irregular visits from Aunt Flo every month. We are excited to find out if we will be able to hear the babies heartbeat for the first time!!!
